You Can't Get Abraham's Blessing with Thomas' Faith

Romans 4:19 says, "And without becoming weak in faith he (Abraham) contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness or Sarah's womb; yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief, but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what He had promised, He was able to also to perform". NAS Bible
The King James translation says, "he considered not his own body...neither the deadness of Sarah's womb". In other words, if you look at both versions, Abraham knew what God had told him; that he would be the father of many nations. But, he was 100 and Sarah was 90! He contemplated those "facts" for a moment, then came back to the Truth of God's WORD...he was to be the father of many nations! The bible goes on to say in verse 22: "therefore, it was reckoned (NAS) or imputed (KJV) or counted (NKJ) unto him (Abraham) as righteousness" for him to continue to believe what God had told him and NOT to consider the circumstances. He was walking by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
Abraham "grew strong in faith" and "did not waver". These two actions say to me that growing your faith is a process; it doesn't happen overnight. But if you don't waver, in other words, listen to doubt and unbelief and start to think it and speak it, then your faith will continue to grow. Satan comes to steal the WORD (Mark 4:3-9, the parable of the sower). Our job is to continue to sow the WORD, (Mark 4:14) God's WORD, which is Truth (John 17:17), and not the world's words of doubt and unbelief.
As we continue in this way, the Blessing (Deuteronomy 28:1-14) comes and overtakes us (Galatians 3:14). We walk with the faith of Abraham, not the doubt of Thomas: Jesus said to him (Thomas), "Because you have seen Me have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed." John 20:29.
Every promise that God offers us is yes and amen, if we only BELIEVE.

Healing Prayer

Father, in Jesus' Name, I thank you for every promise that is yes and amen for me. I declare that Jesus bore my weaknesses; physical and emotional, and by His stripes I am healed. Your WORD says that with You, all things are possible if I believe. Father, I submit myself to You, and resist the devil so this _________________(whatever sickness or pain)_________________
must leave! I declare that I am more that a conqueror in Christ and my faith has overcome this attack from the world. I will be strong in the Lord and the power of His might, not my own, to

Setting Goals

This outline can be used for any type of goal; physical, financial, weight loss, healing, addicition, whatever. Just like praying according to the WORD of God, goal setting according to the WORD is important for success. When you base your goals on God's way of doing things (Matthew 6:33), the spiritual realm comes into play, not just the mental. Many business workshops base their models on Biblical principles.

1.    Write clear-cut, tangible goals.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 - Write the vision and make it plain.

2.    Find scriptural back-up and personalize it.
Psalm 37:4-5 - I delight mself in the Lord and He will give me the desires of my heart. I commit my  way to Him, and I trust in Him, and He will do it.
Matthew 6:33 - I seek first God's way of doing things and all these things will be added to me.
Mark 4:14 - I sow the WORD into my life.

3.    Read them out loud several times a day.
Romans 10:17 - Faith comes by hearing.
Mark 11:22-24 - Speak to the mountain, ask for what you want, receive when you pray.
Proverbs 18:20-21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
Romans 4:17 - Call those things that be not as though they were.
Jeremian 1:12 - The Lord is quick and alert, watching over His WORD to perform it.
Matthew 12:37 - By your words you are either justified or condemned.
Hebrews 1:13 - Our angels are here to minister to and for us.
Psalm 103:20 - Our angels can only work on our behalf if we are speaking in alignment with God's will/WORD.

4.    Thank God in advance for the manifestation. Praising Him in advance is the highest form of faith!

Remember:

Forgive others - Mark 11:22-24
Faith works by love - Galatians 5:6, Matthew 22:37-39
Do something every day toward each goal: visualize, meditate, affirm, action, speak, etc. James 1:23-26, Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, James 2:26

You can do it!
